Our Staff
We are proud of the high quality of the staff team. Without the hard work and dedication they show every day, we could not support our students to achieve. Our team is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds; our qualified Teachers have worked in a range of settings before joining us and the Support Team includes people with backgrounds in special education, residential care, outdoor pursuits, water-based activities, gym instruction, equine care and sports coaching to name but a few. We try to use the strengths and specialisms of every colleague to develop the provision we can put in place for the students.
Family and Pastoral Liaison Officer
Hi, my name is Cheryl Morgan and I have been at On Track Education, Barnstaple for over 4 years. In the past year or so, I have now taken on the role of Family and Pastoral Liaison Officer.
My role is to work with pupils and their families in the community, within their homes, as well as at the school, in order to promote and strengthen their relationships with each other and the school community.
I help establish and maintain collaborative and productive links with all colleagues, relevant agencies, practitioners/professionals including the Local Authority, Childcare Service and Social Care.
I have organised a number of family events across sites including Jubilee BBQs, music concerts, carol singing and coffee mornings - I'm hoping to do many more!

Family Thrive Practitioner
Hi, my name is Clare Langmead. I am a Family Thrive Practitioner for On Track Education.
I have worked in education for over twenty years and I am passionate about supporting our students, as well as their families and carers.
Family Thrive is a specific way of working with all children that helps to develop their social and emotional wellbeing, enabling them to engage with life and learning. The Thrive team believes every child is unique and learns in different ways at different rates.
At On Track Education, we offer sessions for parents and carers to join me and my colleague Cheryl, our Family and Pastoral Liaison Officer to explore how our young people tick.
We do this in a fun and friendly way, sharing thoughts and ideas, along with a cuppa.
