This role will involve the effective management, organisation and supervision of all matters relating to the school’s premises including maintenance, security, cleaning and management of external contractors. You will also be the designated Health & Safety Officer responsible for ensuring that the school adheres to its Health & Safety policy.
The perfect candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to build positive working relationships, show understanding and empathy, and have high standards of professional conduct.
Part-time or full-time hours considered but you must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school.
Our school is a 40 place independent special school for pupils aged 11 to 16. Our pupils have a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties and they are taught in very small groups. Science Teacher / Tutor

Our Silverstone school has capacity for 40 pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Some have additional difficulties and specific learning difficulties. Our pupils often have histories of disrupted education including low attendance and/or exclusion from mainstream education. We support our pupils to fulfil their potential by giving them unconditional support, providing them with good quality teaching and empowering them to effectively manage their own behaviour.

You must be able to demonstrate previous experience of teaching Science, preferably to secondary pupils, and experience within an SEN setting would be a distinct advantage. You must be able to drive and have use of your own car due to the rural location of the school. In addition, you may be required to transport pupils in your own vehicle.
