'Woodlands', On Track's Intervention Centre, is nestled in the beautiful Dartington Estate. The centre has its own unique charm and could not be better suited to support vulnerable children who struggle with the pressures of the modern world.
Our environment provides a peaceful retreat, access to nature and facilities to be creative, play and explore in a safe way.
Our staff are professional, kind and compassionate; with a real desire to make a difference and to see young people achieve their potential.
We offer personalised programs to meet varying needs and abilities and tailor our time to find the right balance between therapeutic intervention and education, for each individual.
We believe in experiential learning and provide safe opportunities for students to become more confident learners; for them to experience success, self worth and an understanding of emotional literacy and regulation.
Consistent use of the therapeutic Thrive Approach, alongside knowledge and application of trauma informed practices and PDA strategies, sees excellent progress in areas of resilience, self expression, positive social interaction, self confidence, self soothing and empathy for others and a marked decrease in anxiety related dysregulation and risk taking behaviour associated with vulnerable young people.
We work in conjunction with multiple local authority SEN teams to provide a safe and reliable service for young people across Devon and Cornwall.
We have excellent working relationships with parents and carers which consolidates a holistic, positive network of support around each young person.
